Attendant services

This four-part workshop provides basic information, strategies and resources to support attendants and personal support workers when communicating and working with people who have significant communication disabilities.

By the end of the two day training, participants will have:

  • Increased awareness of their understanding of people who have communication disabilities
  • Practical techniques for communicating effectively with people who have communication disabilities
  • Strategies to ensure consumer control during service routines, communication over the phone and with the public.
